The Team
Wing of St. Mawes is a small family run company, with a group of highly motivated staff, totally committed to providing the best possible service to its customers and clients. All of our staff are committed team players, ensuring that our customers and clients enjoy the freshest of fish with professional service to match.
Robert Clifford-Wing – Director
- Robert Clifford-Wing founded Wing of St. Mawes in the fishing village of St. Mawes Cornwall UK some 23 years ago and is still heavily involved with the day-to-day running of the business. His skills and experience as a head chef, fisherman and trawler owner have proved invaluable in developing Wing of St. Mawes Ltd into what it is today. Robert was part of the industry led bid for Objective 1 (OB1) funding for Cornwall. He has been a member of the Fisheries Priority Management Group (FPMG) since its inception in 2000; helping to ensure that OB1 funding reaches those that need it most. Wing of St. Mawes currently operates with 21 staff, processing all species of fresh fish on a daily basis.
Caroline McMaster – Office Manager
- Our team of office staff are led by Caroline, and are all knowledgeable in all types of fresh fish & shellfish. They each have their own small group of customers that are telephoned on a daily basis and advised on the day’s market availability and best buys.
Karen Burgess – Marketing
- We are very pleased to have Karen as a member of our Marketing team. She joined the company last year as our representative and is “time served” in all areas of the company.
Stuart Williamson –Production Manager
- Living in the port of Newlyn Stuart has worked all his life in the fishing industry. Buying fish at Newlyn auction market and landing many vessels has guaranteed that his knowledge of fish and fishing is second to none. Stuart heads up our fresh fish team of skilled staff; also looking after the smoking and curing side of the business.
Brenda Wareman – High Care Foods
- Brenda joined us some 6 years ago. She now manages our “High Care Foods” side of the company, controlling the preparation of all finished foods. Brenda recently sat and completed her Advanced Food Hygiene Course. Working With the Team.
